At Cloud Imperium Games, our European Finance team is expanding and we are currently looking for a Treasury Manager to work onsite at our state-of-the-art studio in Manchester. The European Finance team is primarily responsible for the accounting functions of the group’s European entities and provides broader support to the group’s global business.
Reporting into the VP of Finance this role is a unique chance to join a business in the creative space where you will be involved in setting up and overseeing the treasury function, managing cashflow forecasting across multiple currencies and taking ownership of the businesses banking and lending relationships. This role will be a fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys a mix of operational and strategic work and would like to be part of building and strengthening the finance department as the business scales.

What does a Treasury Manager at CIG do?
- Setting and reviewing treasury strategy, processes, policies and controls in collaboration with the VP of Finance and CFO.
- Perform treasury tasks including bank account reconciliations, cashflow forecasting and other ad-hoc analysis/projects.
- Ensure accurate and efficient cash management, including analysis of working capital requirements.
- Ensure excess cash balances are utilised in the most efficient manner, including placing on deposit with as close to zero risk as possible.
- Managing relationships with the banks and reviewing financing activities and covenant performance.
- Monitor the rolling transactional FX exposures for the group and implement FX hedging according to the group’s FX policy in collaboration with CFO.
- Management of the groups interest rate risk.
- Take ownership of intercompany treasury, including dividends and loans and any borrowing or bond facilities where applicable.General assistance with the internal financial reporting and controls of the business.
What do we expect from a Treasury Manager?
- Solid experience working in a treasury function in a large business.
- Deep understanding of corporate treasury management, including the ability to comprehend complex legal entity and bank account structures, cash pooling concepts, cashflow projections and associated risk management.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Strong analytical and technical skills.
- Credibility and confidence to deal with executive and senior management.
- Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
