Overview
Be the front-line technical contact for OEM bicycle brands to help them achieve best in class suspension performance.
Responsibilities
- In collaboration with Product Management and Sales, plan, execute, and report on suspension test sessions with European brands
- Develop high performance tunes for rear shocks that work across the spectrum of bicycle designs
- Facilitate customer test and validation opportunities for forks, shocks and seat posts
- Raise early alarm flags and identify areas that need critical focus for new suspension developments.
- Routinely benchmark competitive product
Qualifications
- 5+ years' hands on experience with suspension products, with proven expertise and detailed knowledge of RockShox suspension components and technologies
- Proven knowledge and understanding of the inner workings and complex circuitry of forks and rear shocks
- Understanding of frame design, linkages, leverage ratios, and bicycle kinematics and the relationship to springs and dampers
- Ability to test ride test and evaluate the performance of components. Basic prototyping capability and experience desired.
- Maintains an open, intuitive, and inquisitive mind.
- Demonstrates creativity, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with customers, fellow employees, supervisors, and cross-functional team
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (with a strong focus on the South European market), up to 30% of the year
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Native speaker of Italian, Spanish, French or German is a plus, but not a must
