About this opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Network Engineering Expert to join our hyperscaler infrastructure engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in optical transport, packet transport, and data center interconnect technologies with hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and optimizing platforms from Juniper, Ciena, and Arista. This role will focus on designing, scaling, and maintaining transport nodes that enable high-performance, low-latency connectivity across hyperscaler environments.
What you will do:
Lead the design and deployment of transport node infrastructure supporting large-scale hyperscaler networks.
We are looking for candidates who has worked on Ciena/Nokia Optical systems (ROADM and Transponders) and Fiber Optics characterization
Develop architecture blueprints integrating Juniper PTX/MX/QFX, Ciena 6500/ Waveserver, and Arista 7000/7800 series platforms.
Ensure scalability, automation, and resilience in multi-vendor transport solutions.
Implementation & Operations:
Configure, provision, and maintain transport nodes across optical and IP layers.
Manage DWDM, coherent optics, ROADM configurations, and high-capacity Ethernet switching/routing.
Troubleshoot complex Layer 0-3 issues in large-scale production environments.
Optimization & Automation:
Leverage telemetry, analytics, and automation frameworks (Python, Ansible, Netconf/YANG) to improve performance and reduce manual intervention.
Optimize network capacity, latency, and resiliency through traffic engineering and software-driven solutions.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Partner with architecture, data center, and cloud engineering teams to align transport solutions with hyperscaler growth.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and set best practices for design and troubleshooting.
Engage with vendors (Juniper, Ciena, Arista) to evaluate roadmaps and influence product direction.
Quality Audit and Evaluation:
Ensure adherence to industry standards in quality management.
Foster proactive engagement in quality awareness initiatives.
Enhance customer satisfaction through a commitment to quality excellence.
The skills you bring:
8+ years of experience in transport network engineering with hyperscalers, carriers, or large-scale ISPs.
Hands-on expertise with Juniper PTX/MX/QFX, Ciena 6500/ Waveserver, and Arista 7000/7800 series.
Strong knowledge of DWDM, OTN, coherent optics, Ethernet/MPLS, BGP, IS-IS, Segment Routing, EVPN.
Proven ability to automate network provisioning and monitoring using Python, Ansible, or equivalent.
Experience in hyperscaler environments or large-scale cloud/data center networks.
Certifications such as JNCIP/JNCIE, CCNP/CCIE, or MEF-CECP.
Experience with telemetry, streaming analytics, and AI-driven network assurance.
Exposure to open optical networking standards and disaggregated transport models.
Strong analytical skills with a track record of resolving complex multi-layer issues.
