About the role:
Rabobank’s Financial Economic Crime Financial Intelligence Unit is seeking a Transaction Monitoring Analyst to join our Sydney-based team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Transaction Monitoring Operations Lead, Australia, you will become part of a highly engaged & collaborative team operating in a flexible hybrid working environment, combining time in the office with working from home.
You will be responsible for the investigation of transaction monitoring alerts & assessing potentially suspicious client activity. You will ensure all investigations are conducted in line with Rabobank’s internal policies, standard operating procedures, & external regulatory obligations
What will keep you busy:
- Managing & clearing the alerts generated in AML Transaction Monitoring Systems
- Conducting transaction monitoring investigations
- Escalating any potentially suspicious matters to the Regulatory Reporting team
- Ensuring strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedure for investigations
- Remediating investigations accordingly as determined by Quality Assurance & First Line Monitoring
- Be involved in testing requirements for new transaction monitoring rules & changes to existing rules
- Assisting in the execution of continuous improvement initiatives & processes to fruition
Skills, experience and attributes you will bring to the role:
- Experience in a related field
- Proven experience in AML/CTF alert monitoring & Investigation
- Sound Knowledge in AML/CTF Act & Transaction monitoring & suspicious activities investigation
- Experience in assuring regulatory compliance
- Understanding of banking codes of practice & other legislation including Privacy act
- Excellent attention to detail, demonstrable analytical skills & a high level of discretion
- Ability to manage competing priorities & plan own work effectively and efficiently
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Previous experience in RiskShield/ Pega or similar workflow tools used for AML/CTF highly regarded
