Training Specialist, Quezon City, PH
As a Training Specialist, you will contribute to the success of learning initiatives by identifying training needs, recommending solutions, and delivering impactful learning experiences. You will design and develop training programs that align with business goals, facilitate engaging sessions, mentor learners, and collaborate with stakeholders and internal training groups to ensure content relevance and effectiveness. This role also includes supporting the coordination and execution of training projects, requiring attentiveness to detail and a proactive approach to smooth program delivery.
Role Responsibilities
Design and implement training programs aligned with organizational objectives and learner needs.
Deliver engaging and effective training sessions across various formats, ensuring their proper certification, logging training records, and maintaining training programs.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, managers, and trainers to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
Analyze learning data and feedback to improve training effectiveness.
Identify learning needs and recommend targeted training solutions.
Contribute to strategic training-related projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
Participate in regular customer engagement activities (e.g., customer calls, support sessions, or observations) to maintain practical expertise and ensure training remains aligned with customer needs depending on the supported skills.
Support administrative tasks related to training logistics, reporting, and record-keeping.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals and drive employee performance through effective training initiatives.
Assist in maintaining project documentation, tracking milestones, and flagging risks to ensure timely and quality delivery of training programs.
Adapt to evolving business needs by learning and supporting different processes as required.
Commit to travel (up to 50% + of working time) based on project or operational needs.
Role Requirements
9+ months in functions similar to those the Training team supports with demonstrated strong performance. Experience with Compliance Operations teams is considered an advantage.
Interest in adult learning and training development. Experience with facilitating training, mentoring peers, or similar, either at Western Union or elsewhere.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Strong presentation skills, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse groups.
Ability to communicate at ease with supervisor/manager/leader levels
Intermediate knowledge of the main MS Office tools.

Flexibility to adjust to different shifts occasionally.
Knowledge of instructional design and training experience considered an advantage.
It will be considered an advantage if you have:
A diploma, formal certification or proven informal education experience in training, education, instructional design, psychology, or related fields.
