The Training Coordinator for Operations Control is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating professional development and training programs that support the operational effectiveness of the department. This role assesses organizational learning needs and develops training initiatives that strengthen employee performance, improve operational consistency, and enhance customer service delivery across Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations. The role collaborates with department leaders to design and facilitate onboarding, technical, compliance, and leadership development programs for support staff, supervisors, managers, and emerging leaders. The position supports workforce development strategies by promoting employee engagement, knowledge transfer, succession planning, coaching and mentoring practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the Training Coordinator develops training resources, monitors program effectiveness through data and participant feedback, and ensures learning opportunities are aligned with departmental goals, organizational priorities, and evolving operational needs.
ResponsibilitiesList most important duties first
1. Assesses training and professional development needs across Business Operations and recommends learning solutions that support departmental goals and workforce development initiatives.
2. Coordinates the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs for Business Operations employees, including onboarding, technical training, customer service, compliance, and leadership development opportunities.
3. Measures employee learning outcomes and program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, performance metrics, and participant feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
4. Develops and maintains training materials, resources, standard operating procedures, and learning tools to support employee development and operational consistency.
5. Collaborates with department leaders and subject matter experts to identify skill gaps and create targeted learning opportunities that enhance employee performance and engagement.
6. Coordinates and supports onboarding activities for new Business Operations employees while partnering with Human Resources and district departments to ensure alignment with district-wide onboarding initiatives.
7. Facilitates in-person, virtual, and blended learning opportunities for support staff, supervisors, managers, and emerging leaders.
8. Coordinates training schedules, resource procurement, facility arrangements, technology needs, and other logistics necessary for successful program delivery.
9. Monitors participation, completion rates, and training compliance requirements, maintaining accurate records and reporting on program outcomes.
10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
