As a Trading Services Analyst in Securities Services Operations, you support daily trading operations by monitoring margin and collateral activity, resolving exceptions, and maintaining strong controls. You collaborate with internal teams to investigate breaks, coordinate timely resolution, and improve end-to-end processes. You produce clear reporting and operational insights that help the team deliver consistent outcomes. You document procedures and support change initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce operational risk. You communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure priorities, actions, and timelines are understood and met.

Job responsibilities

  • Monitor client margin and collateral exposures and identify exceptions requiring action.
  • Reconcile positions, cash, and margin movements to support accurate daily processing.
  • Investigate breaks and valuation differences using internal and third-party information sources.
  • Coordinate with internal partners to resolve issues, escalate when needed, and track items to closure.
  • Maintain risk and control checks, and follow documented procedures to support compliance.
  • Document and update workflows, operating procedures, and control steps to reflect current practices.
  • Prepare management reporting, including key performance indicators and operational metrics.
  • Respond to as-needed inquiries from internal partners and clients, ensuring timely and clear communication.
  • Identify process improvement and automation opportunities and support delivery of agreed enhancements.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • One year of experience in financial services operations processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate, time-sensitive processing in a controlled environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including using formulas to analyze and reconcile data.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to identify trends, exceptions, and root causes.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience in trade support, settlements, securities lending, or middle office functions.
  • Experience producing recurring operational reporting and maintaining workflow documentation.
  • Experience using data or automation tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or Python.
  • Demonstrated experience driving process improvements and reducing operational risk.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt priorities in a fast-paced, changing operating environment.
