As a Finance Operations Associate in Chase Travel, you will ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of transactional accounting data flowing from multiple booking sources into the accounting platform. You’ll use sound accounting judgment and strong data skills to investigate breaks, drive resolution, and strengthen controls. You’ll also lead testing and implementation activities for program changes while coordinating across partner teams.

Job responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end integration of transactional data from multiple booking sources into accounting systems, validating completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and downstream impacts
  • Investigate, reconcile, and resolve processing breaks (e.g., mapping issues, missing attributes, balancing breaks), documenting root cause and preventive actions
  • Partner with stakeholders across account management, technology, operations, and finance to deliver new programs and changes, clarifying requirements, impacts, dependencies, and controls
  • Lead quality assurance and user acceptance testing for rollouts, including test strategy, test cases, evidence collection, defect tracking, and readiness for sign-off
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entry support and balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation
  • Prepare recurring reporting (daily, weekly, and monthly) with clear definitions, strong data controls, and well-maintained documentation
  • Analyze key drivers and variances (volume, revenue and cost trends, and operational drivers), translating results into clear insights and recommended actions
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, reduce manual work, and improve timeliness and accuracy, contributing to automation and process improvements
  • Prepare audit and external reporting deliverables and support inquiries with traceable support and on-time responses
  • Coordinate tasks across junior team members for defined deliverables, reviewing outputs for accuracy and completeness
     

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting and/or financial operations experience
  • Demonstrated experience reconciling high-volume transactional data and resolving issues through root-cause analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills  and comfort working with large datasets
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally to deliver changes, implementations, or control and process improvements
  • Working knowledge of accounting controls, documentation standards, and audit readiness expectations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain findings and operational impacts clearly
  • High attention to detail and a consistent focus on data quality and integrity
  • Sound judgment in resolving problems within established procedures, including appropriate escalation when needed
