Husqvarna Group is seeking a Trademark Paralegal to join our Global Intellectual Property (IP) Department. The Global IP Department, part of the Legal Affairs organization at Husqvarna Group, is led by the Vice President, Head of IP. We’re now looking for someone to help support our trademark operations and contribute to the protection and management of our global brand portfolio.
This position is generally responsible for supporting the Trademark counsel in managing and executing the global trademark procurement and clearance processes in accordance with global brand protection strategies. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as part of an international team.
Essential work tasks:
Performing and analyzing trademark clearance searches using available online software and databases
Filing and prosecuting domestic and foreign trademark applications
Reviewing trademark watch lists
Docketing trademark deadlines and communications in Husqvarna’s IP management system Equinox Corporate +
Being part of the IP department’s Paralegal Group and having Superuser responsibility for Equinox Corporate +
Communicating with internal stakeholders and external agents regarding trademark- and IP-related matters
Administrating Legal documents (legalization, notarization, powers of attorney, declarations of use, etc.)
Invoice management in Husqvarna’s financial system Coupa
Keeping guidelines, manuals, forms, etc. updated
Support Trademark Counsel with the following:
Managing Husqvarna Group’s global trademark portfolio
Keeping Husqvarna Group’s trademark budget
Reporting on trademark-related activity to the Head of IP and Brand Management & Marketing leaders
Assessing third party use of Husqvarna Group’s marks, identify infringers, and enforce the Group’s trademark rights
Providing other legal and IP support as needed
To be successful in this role, we believe you are either (i) an experienced paralegal with knowledge about trademarks or IP in general, (ii) an experienced administrator, and/or (iii) a newly graduated lawyer. Ideally, you have experience handling trademark matters in a law firm or corporation with a sophisticated and active trademark practice, but if you have limited experience in this area or are newly graduated, you are still highly encouraged to apply.

It is an advantage if you have:
Knowledge of trademark laws, practices, and procedures in Europe, but also a general knowledge of global norms and differences
Experience in the IP management system Equinox Corporate +
Working knowledge of other languages beyond English (e.g., Swedish, German), is meriting but not a requirement.
Experience working in an international environment
This position is based in Huskvarna or Jonsered, Sweden. We offer a flexible hybrid work setup, with an expected on-site presence of 2 to 3 days per week.
