As a Supervisor, Managed Funds Operations in Managed Funds Operations, you lead day-to-day custody operations supporting managed funds and other pooled investment vehicles. You help ensure transactions are processed accurately, on time, and with strong controls, while developing a team of operations professionals. You collaborate with partners to deliver responsive client servicing and continuous process improvement.
Job responsibilities
- Lead daily team execution of custody processing activities, including settlement, asset servicing, income processing, tax processing, reconciliations, and related servicing tasks
- Monitor work queues, allocate tasks, and balance capacity to maintain coverage during peak volumes, absences, and holidays
- Review and authorize transactions and adjustments within approved authority limits and control procedures
- Investigate and resolve exceptions, breaks, fails, and client inquiries within agreed timelines
- Maintain accurate processing and escalation routines aligned to documented procedures and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Identify, escalate, and help remediate operational risks, control gaps, and recurring processing issues
- Support internal audits, risk reviews, and regulatory examinations by preparing clear evidence and timely responses
- Drive disciplined reconciliation practices, including timely clearance of aged or outstanding items
- Partner with client service, relationship management, and operations stakeholders to deliver a consistent client experience
- Contribute to process improvement through standardization, automation ideas, and support for change initiatives, enhancements, or migrations
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 4 years of experience in custody, fund operations, securities services operations, or a related financial operations environment
- 1 year of experience leading, coaching, or coordinating work for a team in an operations setting
- Knowledge of custody operating processes, including settlement, corporate actions, income processing, and reconciliations
- Understanding of managed fund and pooled investment vehicle structures and operational requirements
- Demonstrated risk and control mindset, including the ability to follow procedures, identify issues, and escalate appropriately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills to handle stakeholder coordination and client-related inquiries
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience using industry messaging and processing platforms (e.g., SWIFT) and custody or sub-custody platforms
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to custody services and managed funds within the applicable jurisdiction(s)
- Professional certifications in investment operations or securities-related fields
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives, including automation and standardization
- Experience monitoring service quality measures and implementing corrective actions
