Job Description:
Job Title: Tester
Location: India
Role purpose
Own and execute data-focused manual UAT, ensuring end-to-end processing integrity across UI, database layers, interfaces, and downstream operational reporting. Drive the transition of UAT management from Excel-based tracking to Jira, producing audit-ready evidence and clear release readiness recommendations.
Key responsibilities
· Perform strong SQL-driven data testing and reconciliation across multiple systems/sources, evidencing outcomes with repeatable queries and extracts.
· Validate end-to-end processing using database reconciliations, interface reports/extracts, and batch outputs to confirm completeness and accuracy.
· Reconcile critical attributes (e.g., facility/loan terms, collateral eligibility, valuation/haircut parameters, allocation/margin results) across application UI, database tables/views, and downstream operational reports to ensure consistency and effective control.
· Prepare UAT summary reports, including execution status, key risks/issues, and release readiness recommendations.
· Lead/assist the migration of UAT artefacts from Excel into Jira (test cases, cycles, evidence, defects), helping define templates, workflows, traceability, and reporting.
· Operate comfortably within standardized delivery workflows, dashboards, and metrics (execution progress, defect ageing, retest rate, pass/fail trends), maintaining transparent status and quality indicators.
· Triage and manage defects effectively, isolating whether issues relate to data quality, mapping, calculations, timing/cut-off, interface/batch processing, or UI presentation.
· Respond to ad hoc requests from senior stakeholders with clear, data-backed analysis and timely updates.
· Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and gap analysis, translating findings into actionable fixes and control improvements.
Domain knowledge (preferred / Good to have)
· Understanding of Liquidity metrics and reporting concepts, including Liquidity Matrix, LCR and NSFR.
· Knowledge of RRP, Funding in Resolution, and collateral management/loan collateral management (Good to have).
Technical skills (Manual UAT – data focus)
· Advanced SQL capability for reconciliation and validation across multiple sources/systems; able to produce audit-ready evidence from queries and extracts.
· Proven experience executing UAT where key attributes must be validated for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across upstream/downstream sources.
· Experience transitioning from spreadsheet-based UAT tracking to Jira-based test management; ability to structure test cycles, capture execution evidence, and run defect workflows in Jira.
· Strong defect triage and diagnostic capability (data vs mapping vs calculation vs timing/cut-off vs UI).
· UAT evidence packs and concise release readiness summaries for governance and sign-off.
