The Opportunity:
CACI seeking an experienced Testing Analyst to support our government contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Our ideal candidate will be responsible for validating that system functionality aligns with business requirements, identify defects, and help ensure that changes do not negatively impact existing capabilities. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring system quality, stability, and compliance as enhancements, fixes, and releases are delivered across development, test, and production environments. We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical skills and a desire to enhance those skills in a challenging, high visibility environment.
Responsibilities:
Execute manual test cases for Momentum Financials across multiple environments.
Analyze business requirements, user stories, and design documents to develop and maintain detailed test cases and test scripts.
Validate end-to-end business processes, including core federal financial functions (e.g., GL, AP, AR, Budget Execution, Procure-to-Pay).
Perform regression testing to ensure system stability after enhancements, defect fixes, and releases.
Identify, document, and track defects using approved tools; work closely with developers and functional teams to support defect resolution and retesting.
Collaborate with functional leads, developers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
Support the Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) team.
Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews.
Ensure all testing activities comply with VA quality assurance standards and documentation requirements.
Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, templates, and standards.
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
3+ years of experience in testing, with a focus on functional and regression testing
ERP systems testing experience, preferably Momentum Financials or similar federal financial systems
Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC), testing methodologies, and defect management processes
Experience developing and executing test cases based on business and functional requirements
Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM)
Ability to analyze complex business processes and validate system behavior against requirements
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies and system issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience documenting test results and defects
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Desired:
Experience supporting Momentum Financials or other federal financial ERP systems
Knowledge of federal financial management processes (e.g., USSGL, Budget, AR, etc.)
Experience supporting or interacting with IV&V teams
Exposure to automated testing tools or frameworks
Understanding of Agile methodologies and participation in sprint ceremonies
Knowledge of configuration management and release processes

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
