Location: Virginia Beach, VA 

Job Description: 

SimIS Inc seeks a Test Engineer to provide Integrated Training Systems (ITS) Systems Engineering (SE) support for maritime Training Systems being developed by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Dam Neck Activity, Virginia Beach, VA. The successful candidate will implement a modern agile development approach in support of a major shipboard combat and/or training system providing quality independent verification and validation (IV&V) expertise. The period of performance begins in late August 2024 and includes 1 base year and 4 option years for a total of 5 contract years.

Experience Required: 

• At least three (3) years of full-time professional experience, one year of which must have been in support of a major shipboard combat and/or training system providing quality independent verification and validation (IV&V) expertise. 

• Executes testing of complex systems and subsystems. 

• Test planning of complex operational and engineering interoperability tests composed of components from Navy, Joint and Coalition systems. 

• Supports any variation of system engineering, verification and validation test development, integration, and interoperability assessment and certification testing. 

Special Skills/Knowledge/Training Required: 

• High School Diploma, BS Degree preferred. 

• Cyber-Information Technology (IT)/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Basic Level knowledge and skills, at a minimum, with a certification in IA standards and policies.
