Job Description

Test Automation Architect (Performance Tester)

We are seeking a highly skilled Automated Software Quality Assurance Tester (Performance Tester) to join our team in the Washington DC Area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the overall digital performance test automation strategy to accelerate preparation and execution of testing activities across multiple platforms and systems. They should have extensive experience in coding, automated agile methodologies (TDD/BDD), and a strong focus on maintaining automated unit, acceptance, and regression tests. This role requires demonstrated expertise in performance testing, automated tool frameworks, and continuous integration (CI) practices.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Automated Software Quality Assurance Tester: $137,000 to $192,000. Pay commesurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided.
  • Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Automated Software Quality Assurance Tester Responsibilities Include:

  • Convert Agile User Stories into performance test scenarios run during iterations and consumed by release and system-level testers
  • Work closely with the product team to ensure that the built product validates the business intent
  • Collaborate within a larger product development team to implement suitable continuous integration (CI) frameworks for early defect discovery and higher quality software
  • Develop end-to-end automated regression scenarios to be used as regression tests during continuous integration and QA cycles
  • Identify and build service layer automated test solutions to support early automation
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Automated Software Quality Assurance Tester Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • An Active Public Trust or the ability to obtain one is required
  • Extensive experience in performance testing methodologies and tools
  • Proficiency in coding languages and automated testing frameworks
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, particularly TDD and BDD
  • Demonstrated experience with automated tool frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data to drive actionable insights
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Leadership skills to drive the overall performance test automation strategy
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
