We're looking for someone to join our team as a Temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist I who:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist I is responsible for implementing the overall recruiting strategy. The Talent Acquisition Specialist I achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates, advising managers, and timely filling vacancies within the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
- Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs.
- Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
- Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
- Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.
- Manages intern/externship programs by conducting orientations; scheduling rotations and assignments; monitoring intern job contributions; coaching interns; advising managers on training and coaching.
- Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; conducting training.
- Reviews and updates job descriptions as necessary.
- Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives as necessary.
- Prepares and post jobs to ATS and appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges, etc.
- Maintains communication with applicants during the selection process and assures that all applicants receive feedback regarding their application for employment.
- Acts as a point of contact and builds influential applicant relationships during the selection process.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager to efficiently drive the timely fill of open positions.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Provides analytical and well documented reports to management of recruitment metrics.
- Promote company’s reputation as a “good place to work”
- Supports HR team and fills in for other HR members when needed.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- On a scheduled or unscheduled basis may be required to work extra hours including nights and weekends.
You'll be successful with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s level training preferred (in Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Administration or related field. Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Proven work experience as a recruiter. Minimum of two years prior recruiting experience preferred.
- Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency based, behavioral, etc).
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required.
- Strong decision-making skills required.
- Health care organization experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills required previous experience with HCM, ATS and OnBoarding software
- Strong skill set in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word programs.

What We Do
Clinica Sierra Vista, a non-profit corporation, was created to provide health care to poor, migrant farmworkers who harvest the lush agricultural fields in the southern San Joaquin Valley. Today, Clinica Sierra Vista serves a geographically dispersed, low-moderate-fixed income, ethnically diverse, frontier-rural-urban-migrant-homeless patient population. It has grown to be one of the largest comprehensive migrant/community health center systems in the state.
