Summary Generated by Built In

Are you fascinated by how technical systems work and excited by the opportunity to turn engineering theory into practical, real-world solutions?

Crown is looking for a curious and motivated engineering graduate to join our growing Technology Products team. This newly created role offers exposure to advanced lithium battery systems, charging infrastructure, telematics, and automation technologies used in live customer environments.

Sitting at the intersection of engineering, product and operations, you will work alongside experienced technical specialists and collaborate with Sales, Service, customers, and global engineering teams. You will contribute to customer demonstrations, site assessments, solution design, product investigations, commissioning, and continuous improvement activities.

This is not a role where you will spend every day behind a desk. You will learn by doing, investigate real technical challenges, and see the solutions you help design put into operation.

If you are naturally curious, enjoy solving problems, and want to build a career working with evolving technology, this is an opportunity to develop a broad technical foundation within a global organisation.

Requirements

Responsibilities & Duties

In this role, you will:

  • Support customer demonstrations, product trials, installations, and commissioning activities.
  • Conduct site assessments and power studies to help design fit-for-purpose battery, charging, and infrastructure solutions.
  • Review and develop CAD drawings for applications incorporating Crown's Technology Products.
  • Assist with the design and configuration of automation, telematics, and motive power solutions.
  • Investigate product and system issues, identify probable causes, and work with Engineering to develop and implement solutions.
  • Maintain and improve technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and support resources.
  • Assist in managing technical product data across connected products and systems.
  • Develop training materials, technical resources, and practical tools for Service personnel.
  • Support the introduction of new products and technologies into the Australian market.
  • Contribute to building internal knowledge and technical capability across emerging technologies.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, willing to get hands-on, and ready to take ownership of technical challenges.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A degree in engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • An interest in automation, energy systems, industrial technology, connected products, or material handling.
  • CAD capability, with AutoCAD experience viewed favourably.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity about how products, systems, and technologies work.
  • The ability to break down technical problems and communicate solutions clearly.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • A willingness to work across both office and field environments.
  • The confidence to ask questions, test ideas, and continue learning.

Industry experience is not essential. This opportunity would suit a recent graduate or early-career engineer who is passionate about technology and keen to develop practical experience across a broad range of engineering systems.
