Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, we are looking for an experienced Product Management professional to join our Industrial Automation Digital Organization. The role requires one to define and drive the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and long-term evolution of Asset Performance Management (APM) software products. The candidate will be responsible for owning the complete product lifecycle, translating customer and business needs into product requirements, and working closely with Engineering, Architecture, UX, Quality Engineering, Data Science, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and customer-centric industrial software solutions.
The candidate should bring strong experience in Product Management, Industrial Software Products, Asset Performance Management, Industrial Analytics, or Industrial IoT, along with the ability to manage product roadmaps, backlogs, releases, and commercialization activities across global teams.

You will be mainly accountable for:- Define and own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and long-term evolution of the Asset Performance Management (APM) product portfolio, ensuring alignment with ABB's digital strategy, business objectives, and customer needs.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation and discovery through requirements definition, development, validation, release, commercialization, and continuous product improvement, while managing product priorities and roadmap commitments.
- Serve as the Product Owner and manage the product backlog using Azure DevOps, including Epics, Features, User Stories, Tasks, Bugs, and Acceptance Criteria, while leading backlog grooming, sprint planning, release planning, and prioritization activities with cross-functional Agile teams.
- Translate customer needs, business objectives, and market opportunities into Product Requirement Documents, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria, while driving APM capabilities such as Asset Health Monitoring, Predictive Maintenance, Condition Monitoring, AI/ML-based Anomaly Detection, Remaining Useful Life, Reliability Analytics, Diagnostics, Health Scores, Event and Case Management, and Prescriptive Recommendations.
- 8–12 years of experience in Industrial Software Products, Digital Solutions, or Technology Product Development, with a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or a similar role.
- Strong experience in Asset Performance Management, Industrial Analytics, Industrial IoT, Predictive Maintenance, Condition Monitoring, Reliability Engineering, or related industrial digital domains.
- Proven experience in defining product vision, strategy, roadmaps, product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing end-to-end product delivery across Agile/Scrum teams.
- · Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, product backlog management, SaaS products, global software releases, release planning, dependency management, risk management, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of Industrial IoT, Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, REST APIs, OPC UA, MQTT, SCADA/DCS/PLC, Digital Twins, Time Series Analytics, AI/ML, MLOps, Advanced Analytics, and Generative AI.
- Ability to engage with customers, business units, Digital Solution Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Domain Experts, and Engineering teams to capture Voice of Customer, identify market opportunities, and drive product adoption and commercialization.
- BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or relevant fields. MBA or Master’s degree is preferred, along with domain exposure in asset-intensive industries such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Utilities, Metals & Mining, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Manufacturing, Marine, Water, or related industries.
