About the Role
It is a full-time paid 10 - 12 weeks summer internship programme between June and August 2026.
We are looking for a motivated university student to join the APAC Technology team for the summer. This is a hands-on internship where you will contribute to real, live technology and AI initiatives across the APAC region — not just shadowing, but actively participating in project delivery, documentation, and problem-solving.
You will work closely with technologists, business analysts, and stakeholders across Front Office, Operations, Compliance, and IT to support technology projects that make a tangible difference to the business.
Key Responsibilities
AI & Innovation Support
Assist in researching, evaluating, and documenting AI use cases raised by APAC business teams
Support the translation of business ideas into structured AI project proposals, including scoping, requirements capture, and feasibility notes
Project & Delivery Support
Assist Project Managers and Business Analysts in tracking project milestones, dependencies, and status updates across active APAC technology initiatives
Help maintain project documentation including BRDs (Business Requirements Documents), process flows, meeting minutes, and status reports
Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) coordination — logging test cases, tracking defects, and following up on sign-offs
Documentation & Knowledge Management
Create and maintain clear, well-structured technical and functional documentation for both new and existing systems
Organise and maintain team Confluence pages, trackers, and shared documentation repositories
Incident & Issue Management Support
Assist in logging, tracking, and following up on technology incidents and service requests
Help monitor ticket queues, escalate issues where appropriate, and prepare incident summary reports
Support root-cause analysis write-ups and lessons learned documentation
Stakeholder & Communication Support
Help prepare presentation decks, dashboards, and updates for team meetings and stakeholder reviews
Assist with coordination across APAC offices (Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, Shanghai) and Global Technology teams in the US, EMEA and EA.
Qualifications & Skills
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business (with a technology focus), Finance Technology, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with SharePoint is a plus
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and an ability to organise information clearly
Eager to learn, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced professional environment
Exposure to Python, SQL, or any programming/scripting language (academic projects count)
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, large language models, or data analytics tools
Basic understanding of financial markets, asset management, or investment products
Prior internship or part-time experience in a financial services or technology environment
