Leidos was awarded the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract, and currently is seeking a Technical Writer. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to modernize a leading, global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness.
Primary Responsibilities:
As Technical Writer, you will play a critical role in translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. You’ll collaborate with engineers, program managers, and customer stakeholders to develop materials that support cloud implementation, training, compliance, and ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high-quality documentation including manuals, user guides, SOPs, training materials, and technical reports.
Collaborate with cloud engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and program leadership to gather source content and ensure accuracy.
Support proposal development and contract deliverables by contributing to written sections and formatting artifacts.
Often uses a blend of creativity and ingenuity to develop new technical solutions and systems in order to achieve objectives

Minimum Qualifications:
Typically requires BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Interim Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment.
Proven experience supporting government programs, with a strong understanding of federal contracting environments.
US citizenship required.
5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably supporting federal or DoD programs.
Proven ability to write and edit complex technical content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with cloud technologies, cybersecurity principles, and enterprise IT environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, Adobe Acrobat).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Agile development environments and DevSecOps practices.
