Role Overview
The Technical Writer serves as the bridge between complex product engineering and AI-driven discoverability. In this role, you will go beyond traditional documentation by proactively testing new features and leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to scale high-quality, precise content. You are responsible for crafting an "AI-friendly" knowledge base, utilizing Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) to ensure our documentation is the primary source for modern search experiences. By collaborating deeply with engineers and product marketers, you will transform technical functionality into engaging, verified content that drives both user success and brand authority in an AI-first digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & GEO: Conduct keyword research and implement Generative Engine Optimization(GEO) best practices to ensure company documentation is easily cited and surfaced by AI search engines (like Perplexity, Gemini, and Search Generative Experience).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and product teams to develop precise, engaging knowledge base articles.
LLM Integration: Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to streamline the drafting process, summarize complex technical specs, and maintain a consistent brand voice across large volumes of documentation.
Quality Assurance: Proofread content for errors and inconsistencies, ensuring all output meets highquality standards and remains "AI-friendly" (structured data, clear hierarchies).
Audience-Centric Documentation: Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is tailored specifically for the intended end-user'
Product Mastery & Testing: Stay at the forefront of the product lifecycle by proactively learning new features, testing software iterations, and transforming technical functionality
into verified documentation tailored to the end-user and applicable standards.
Requirements
• Experience: 4–8 years of technical writing experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Literature, Communications, or a relevant technical field.
• Domain Expertise: Prior experience in a SaaS-based company is highly preferred.
• Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of SEO and GEO principles to increase organic and synthetic traffic. Proficiency in using LLM tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for content
augmentation and data structuring.
• Communication: Excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal skills.
• Shift: General Shift (9 AM to 6 PM)
Skills Required
