Everforth ECS is seeking a Technical Writer to work in our Fairfax, Virginia office in a hybrid onsite/remote capacity. This role requires close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), program managers, and Security teams to transform dense regulatory or technical concepts into plain-language materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Creation & Revision: Write, edit, and format standard operating procedures (SOPs), user manuals, policy handbooks, and executive correspondence.
- Subject Matter Research: Conduct independent research, interview technical experts, and review legislative or engineering blueprints to verify accuracy.
- Compliance & Standards Editing: Ensure all written deliverables comply with federal guidelines, such as the GPO Style Manual, CIGIE standards, or accessibility mandates.
- Simplifying Complexity: Translate technical or legal jargon into accessible formats for non-technical stakeholders, leadership, and congressional audiences.
- Version & Repository Control: Manage document libraries, track revisions, and maintain configuration control across multi-author projects.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Note: Salary is commensurate with skillset, qualifications, experience, and educational background.
Salary Range: $80,000-110,000
