InterSystems Corporation, a leading developer of database and integration technologies, is seeking candidates for Sr Technical Specialist within the Service Executive Team. The role is client-facing, wide-ranging, challenging, and rewarding. Position involves problem solving within HealthShare environments through a mixture of application knowledge, troubleshooting, and applying development and operational best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage interpersonal, technical skillset, and collaborate with others to ensure close, long-term client relationships
- Recommend model design, development patterns, migration strategies, operational best practices, and elimination of technical debt
- Participate in HealthShare upgrades, resolving adjunct problems as they arise
- Work closely with customer teams, especially during the early stages of adoption and technically challenging projects, to ensure their success
- Help to inform standard and customized on-site training in a classroom environment
- Support our clients during select beta test programs or pre-launches
- Keep up to date with InterSystems products and contemporary IT industry developments and undertake any relevant self-development or training
- Provide clear suggestions for product improvement with valid, documented customer use cases and collaborate on their implementation
Qualifications:
- Personal presence to establish yourself as a customer’s trusted advisor and identify champions within the customer
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong technical and business writing skills, proven business analysis and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting HealthShare, including utility development
- Demonstrated experience with a wide variety of industry standards, including healthcare protocols (FHIR, HL7, CCD/CDA, X12, etc.) a plus
- Experience with networking or system architecture.
- Ability to solve difficult problems and develop creative solutions, identify key issues/problems through analysis and questions, and approach problems systematically
- Creative and open-minded approach to issue investigation and provide a fully documented resolution.
- Expert issue, project, time, and priority management with high standards for thoroughness, completeness, and accuracy
- Ability to independently pursue ideas/initiatives while adhering to and promoting best practices, comfortable with novel situations; raising issues of concern.
Education
- University degree or 6+ years’ experience managing large, complex projects, preferably in healthcare IT
- Technical knowledge in software and implementation processes
- Some development experience in InterSystems technologies required.
- Continued pursuit of Certification/Continuing Education, such as:
- InterSystems Applications
- System Management and/or Architecture
- Network Management
- IT Project Management
