We
are looking for a Technical Sales Trainee Engineer to support the growth
of ANSYS simulation software in Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East, with
a focus on Academia, Research Institutions, and Startups. This role is open to
fresh engineering graduates or candidates with up to 18 months of B2B sales
experience in a related market. Prior experience in selling simulation
software, including ANSYS or competitor solutions such as Siemens, Dassault
Systems, Altair, or COMSOL, will be considered a strong advantage.
In
line with our commitment to developing local talent and supporting the
Kingdom’s growing engineering and innovation ecosystem, this position is open
to Saudi Nationals only.
- Work
closely with the Academia Account Manager to support and co-manage key academic
accounts across the assigned region.

Identify and support startup incubators and innovation hubs, positioning Ansys
as a key simulation tool for product development and R&D.
- Collaborate
with technical, application, and pre-sales teams to support software
demonstrations, evaluations, and training sessions as required.
- Assist
in managing the sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal
support, deal closure, and ongoing account coordination.
- Track
and monitor government, academic, and institutional research funding programs,
identifying opportunities to support ANSYS adoption within universities and
startups.
- Maintain
accurate CRM records, including opportunity tracking, pipeline updates, and
sales forecasting using tools such as Salesforce.
- 0–18 months of B2B sales exposure within the Academia,
Research, or Startup ecosystem in the target region. Fresh graduates may also
be considered.
- Strong interest and ambition to build a long-term career
in technology and engineering software sales.
- Foundational understanding or academic exposure to simulation
applications in research fields, including computational fluid dynamics (CFD),
structural analysis (FEA), electromagnetics, and multi-physics modeling.
- Ability to build relationships with universities, research
institutions, and startup founders.
- Quick learner, willing to understand and work with
academic licensing models, grants, and research funding mechanisms..
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English &
Arabic , with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia and the Middle
East as required.
- Engineering or Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics
Aerospace, or related fields.
- Experience in university-industry collaboration projects.
- Familiarity with regional government initiatives
supporting research and innovation.
- Strong network within the academic and startup community
in the Middle East.
