Capital Markets - SME
Location: Riyadh | Type: Permanent
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Capital Markets Subject Matter Expert to support a major brokerage platform transformation. The role will provide functional and industry expertise throughout the programme, helping ensure that the target solution supports front-to-back brokerage processes, regulatory obligations and business objectives. The SME will work closely with business, operations, risk, compliance, technology and third-party delivery team.
What You’ll Do
- Provide subject matter expertise across front-office, middle-office, back-office and post-trade brokerage processes.
- Lead and support workshops with trading, operations, risk, compliance, finance and technology stakeholders.
- Validate business requirements and ensure alignment with the organisation’s target operating model.
- Assess platform capabilities across order management, execution, risk controls, positions, settlement, reconciliation and reporting.
- Advise on integrations with internal platforms, market infrastructure providers, custodians, brokers and other external parties.
- Ensure proposed processes and controls align with applicable regulatory and market requirements.
- Review platform demonstrations and identify functional gaps, dependencies, limitations and implementation considerations.
- Provide guidance on related capabilities such as client onboarding, product entitlement, margin trading, relationship management tools, reconciliation and liquidity management.
- Support knowledge transfer across business, operations and technology teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience within capital markets, securities brokerage or trading-platform transformation.
- Saudi Arabia market knowledge of Tadawul, Muqasa & Edaa is a must
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including order capture, routing, execution, allocation, clearing, settlement and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of asset classes, order types, trading permissions, margin products and corporate actions.
- Practical experience with system implementation & data migration.
- Strong stakeholder-management, workshop-facilitation and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex capital markets concepts to both business and technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, technology or a related discipline.
- Relevant capital markets, trading or product certifications would be advantageous.
- English speaking mandatory, Arabic speaking in addition would be advantageous.
