We are looking for a highly driven Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead and deliver embedded projects within the Automotive EV domain.
This role is ideal for:
- Early-career TPMs (1–5 years experience), OR
- Application Engineers with strong automotive embedded expertise who are ready to transition into a Project Management role.
- Automotive Domain experience is must.
You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex automotive embedded projects while ensuring timelines, quality, and budget adherence
Requirements
- Partner with engineering teams to define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including milestones, deliverables, and risk assessments.
- Manage project dependencies and ensure clear communication between all stakeholders.
- Track project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between engineering, product management, and other departments.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure efficient resource utilisation.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports to senior management.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and technologies in embedded hardware development.
Must Have Requirements:
- Project Life Cycle Expertise: Deep understanding of the entire automotive embedded product development lifecycle, with a focus on iterative development methodologies like Agile and Scrum.
- Technical Proficiency in Automotive Systems: Strong technical knowledge of embedded systems, including hardware architectures, real-time operating systems (RTOS), communication protocols (CAN bus, LIN bus), and functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
- Agile Problem-Solving and Change Management: Ability to identify, analyse, and solve complex technical challenges within an Agile framework. Adapt to changing requirements and effectively manage project scope.
- Risk Mitigation and Functional Safety: Proactive approach to risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning. Ensure adherence to functional safety standards throughout the development lifecycle.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with engineering teams, product managers, customers and other stakeholders. Effectively manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear project status updates.
- Technical Communication and Documentation: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences. Develop comprehensive project documentation, including requirements specifications, system design documents, and test plans.
- Delivery and Resource Optimization: Proven track record of on-time and on-budget project delivery through effective resource allocation, planning, and project scheduling. Leverage lean project management techniques to optimise resource utilization and project efficiency.
- 5-8 years of experience in technical program management or a related field.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, Electronics and Communication, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of the automotive embedded hardware development lifecycle from concept to production.
- PMP certification is a plus
