Job Description SummaryTechnical Project Management is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on a disciplined approach, clear-thinking mindset, and a timely and successful execution of business objectives. All tasks and activities consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. This role executes a process of design, creation, and optimization of products (and systems), consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements and design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design / product. Technical Project Management follows a product from PRD / Customer need from concept, design, manufacturing and sourcing, through installation and incorporates lessons learned into the next product release. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead global development team in Innovation & Speed in the design, development, and implementation of Power Conversion Products.
  • Manage project scope / technical requirements and obtain approval from stakeholders  
  • Perform stakeholder analysis, communicate project status, run regularly scheduled team and review meetings  
  • Create and manage project plans to include schedules and resources to ensure on-time delivery  
  • Drive team to utilize best practices for product development (FMEAs, Risk assessments, detailed task tracking, ...)
  • Accountable for the overall performance of the project (financial, schedule & scope)  
  • Coordinate project deliverables across business functions including engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and services  
  • Provide accurate project estimation in support of all business planning processes  
  • Manage project risk (threats / opportunities) through identification, analysis, response planning, monitoring & control on a continuous basis  
  • Regularly report out the project status including schedule, budget, scope, quality and risks  
  • Mentor Project Managers and project team members
  • Work with Engineering team to find areas for Productivity Improvements via LEAN methodology and use of AI
  • Use judgment and technical knowledge to make decisions

Required Qualifications:

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • For roles in USA - Minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED) with at least 5 additional years of experience in a Project Management position within a global environment with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s))
  • At least 8 additional years industry experience, working in multi-disciplined engineering teams.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or high school diploma/GED with at least five additional years of project management experience in a global environment
  • At least eight additional years of industry experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Significant experience in Engineering, Technology, or Systems Engineering for roles outside the United States; knowledge comparable to a master’s degree
