The Strategic Sourcing and Third Party Labor (3PL) Manager is responsible for driving a successful third party labor strategy program for Cox Automotive Product & Technology Groups (CAPTG). This role will partner with engineering managers/leaders, engineering operations, supply chain, and various labor suppliers to ensure the proper talent is secured from our supplier partner(s) to successfully support the development and maintenance of our products and platforms. This person is the bridge between the CAPTG business stakeholders and the suppliers. This role works to understand CAPTG's worker/talent requirements and which suppliers can support those needs.
This role will also partner with the internal and external stakeholders to optimize processes and policies that directly impact third-party labor. The role will also help drive compliance to the 3PL strategy across the business.
Who You Are
An experienced program leader who can effectively build, lead, and govern a third-party labor strategy program. The program has been in place for approximately four years and has matured along the way. An ideal candidate will leverage today's program and strategy and build upon it to a more mature, efficient, and reliable state. This role requires indirect team leadership and continued partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all teams' development needs are supported. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated familiarity with contract labor management related to software development.
What You'll Do
- Support and refine the current sourcing strategy program to support the Cox Automotive team members
- Partner with stakeholders across the end-to-end process to improve processes, data accuracy and visibility, and drive efficiencies.
- Gather and analyze data related to the contract workforce for C-Suite reporting.
- Establish relationships with Cox Auto's primary and highly-leveraged suppliers to enable strong partnerships
- Facilitate successful strategies and roadmaps for the labor sourcing program that will drive the execution of contract renewals, amendments, and terminations
- Develop and implement effective and efficient policies, procedures, and training to ensure consistency and compliance to our strategic sourcing goals.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience successfully building, contributing to, and/or leading a labor strategy program.
- Knowledge of various labor and contract models and how to leverage them successfully to optimize outcomes for the business.
- Proficiency in data analysis.
- Ability to navigate and leverage various platforms including Vendor Management Systems, ServiceNow, and other business tools.
- Ability to lead collaboratively across multiple teams and functions consistently driving results.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Experience driving high-impact projects and initiatives spanning multiple teams and numerous stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field.
USD 85,500.00 - 128,300.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $85,500.00 - $128,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
