Technical Program Manager (SDE 3)
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing complex, cross-functional projects that drive the company's strategic goals. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and strong communication abilities to ensure successful project delivery.

About the Job:

  1. Project Management: Define and implement processes, manage Jira projects, and oversee sprint cycles. Lead grooming sessions, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  2. Performance Metrics: Publish capacity utilization and performance metrics, including the cost analysis of meetings to minimize redundant gatherings.
  3. Team Coordination: Facilitate coordination between cross-functional teams, including tech and product teams, to ensure seamless collaboration and timely delivery of projects.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership. Regularly identify and highlight blockers and risks, provide continuous updates, and follow up with stakeholders to address any issues or delays.
  5. Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts diplomatically, maintaining neutrality between product and tech teams while ensuring effective communication.
  6. Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of program management processes and methodologies. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize project outcomes.
  7. Technical Expertise: Leverage technical knowledge to guide project development and solve complex problems.
  8. Project Meeting Structure Design for IT and DevOps Squads: Design, implement, and own the recurring meeting structure across infra and IT squads; including weekly progress reviews, OKR review sessions, and retrospective sessions
  9. Program Documentation and Timeline Ownership: Take full, non-delegated ownership of program documentation: project timelines, milestone tracking, decision logs, risk registers, and status reports
  10. IT/DevOps Domain Literacy: Maintain sufficient working knowledge of the infra tribe's technical landscape; including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure change management, incident management workflows, cloud architecture concepts, and IT service operations

About You:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager or in a similar role.
  3. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with project management tools like Jira.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and technical acumen.
  7. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and resolve conflicts.
  8. Firm yet diplomatic approach to decision-making.
  9. Key Competencies: Action-oriented mindset, Problem solver, Leadership and influence, Technical expertise, Effective communication, Conflict resolution.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a related field
  • Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Jira
  • Experience managing Jira projects, sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives, and backlog management
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure change management, incident management workflows, and cloud architecture concepts
  • Ability to produce and own program documentation: timelines, milestone tracking, decision logs, risk registers, status reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; stakeholder and leadership engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, resolve conflicts diplomatically, and prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical acumen
  • Key competencies: action-oriented, leadership and influence, effective communication, conflict resolution
