About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Experience
What You'll Actually Be Doing

You're Our Person If...

Even Better If...

The Experience
Salesforce is looking for a Technical Product Strategist to join its Product Strategy & Innovation team. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of market dynamics, product positioning, and complex technical architecture, helping define where Salesforce invests, how we position our platform, and why.
You will contribute to our forward-looking technology thesis. Rather than managing sprint backlogs, feature prioritization, or short-term execution roadmaps, you will work within a team of technical product strategists to identify emerging opportunities ("white spaces"), evaluate "build-buy-partner" options, and translate major market trends into concrete platform strategies.
We are looking for a strategy professional who can anticipate trends: someone who can methodically analyze portfolio gaps, evaluate technical investment options, and help design the strategic frameworks that will shape our enterprise platform.
From analyzing the productization trajectories of key capabilities (from trust infrastructure to workflow automation to agentic AI architectures) to researching investment theses in high-growth areas such as supply chain agentification, developer tools, and AI-native systems of record, you will help Salesforce make the right bets through solid commercial and technical models.
What You'll Actually Be Doing

  • Support long-term product strategy: Conduct market studies, whitespace analyses, and competitive assessments to support multi-year positioning frameworks across Salesforce's enterprise AI and platform portfolio.
  • Analyze productization trajectories: Evaluate the strategic transition of internal technical capabilities (trust infrastructure, workflow automation, agentic AI, and data platforms) into standalone product lines or platform-integrated offerings.
  • Apply "Build-Buy-Partner" frameworks: Conduct structured assessments for internal development, acquisition, or partnership decisions, analyzing platform integration timelines against independent go-to-market strategies.
  • Translate technology and market paradigms: Track fundamental shifts (including agentic coding, AI-native application architectures, supply chain automation, and open source ecosystems) and translate them into clear, data-backed investment theses.
  • Map portfolio gaps: Collaborate with strategy and product management leaders to identify portfolio vulnerabilities and market opportunities beyond traditional competitive analysis.
  • Synthesize cross-functional signals: Integrate technical research, engineering capabilities, strategic market intelligence, and M&A (mergers and acquisitions) trends into solid, well-supported strategic perspectives.
  • Assess market viability: Perform market sizing, economic modeling, and competitive analyses to justify capital allocation and strategic redirections.
  • Support global strategic initiatives: Work with regional leadership to adapt platform strategies to international markets, accounting for local regulatory frameworks and the competitive landscape.
  • Evaluate go-to-market models: Analyze monetization structures (open source, platform integration, standalone SaaS, API-first), balancing long-term revenue potential, developer adoption, and defensibility.
  • Monitor emerging signals: Track venture capital activity, developer ecosystem shifts, and emerging research to identify new technology paradigms before they become consensus.
  • Make recommendations to the leadership committee: Write clear, well-structured strategic memos and presentations for chief strategy officers, product VPs, and executive leaders.

You're Our Person If...

  • 5 to 8 years of experience (post-bachelor's or advanced degree) in product strategy, technology strategy, corporate strategy, management consulting, or technical product management at a major cloud or enterprise software company.
  • Strong structural understanding of enterprise AI/ML architectures, agentic systems, and platform integration patterns.
  • Command of enterprise systems of record, data platforms, and SaaS infrastructure, including an understanding of how AI layers affect the software business model.
  • Solid foundation in business model design, including the trade-offs between open source, proprietary, platform-native, and API-led go-to-market models.
  • Experience participating in build-buy-partner assessments, go-to-market strategies, or market studies for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to translate complex, multivariable technical topics into concise narratives for executives.
  • Strong comfort with ambiguity and solid quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills to structure complex issues and test strategic hypotheses.

Even Better If...

  • Master's-level degree (MBA, Master of Science, or equivalent) in a business or technical field.
  • Experience in technical strategy, corporate innovation, or technology strategy consulting.
  • Knowledge of developer platform ecosystems, AI-assisted software development, and modern developer tools.
  • Hands-on experience or deep knowledge in enterprise supply chain automation, process agentification, or vertical AI applications.
  • Experience in venture capital, corporate development, or technology investment analysis.
  • A entrepreneurial, "builder" mindset focused on evaluating new markets, new business models, and emerging paradigms rather than optimizing existing features.
