In this role, you will:

Analyse Data and Generate Insights

  • Create information flows to support business execution.

  • Drive data collection, scheduling, and build quality‑control monitoring to create and enrich datasets of competitive insights.

  • Develop systems and processes to monitor competitiveness through data sourced from external vendors.

  • Design workflows and define tests to ensure internal stakeholders leverage accurate and relevant data efficiently.

  • Fulfil ad‑hoc requests for data and analysis.

Streamline Case Operations and Resolution

  • Lead a small team of external contractors responsible for investigating and resolving pricing cases.

  • Act as the primary point of escalation for complex or high‑impact pricing issues.

Solving Problems and Communicating

  • Exhibit top‑class business acumen, rigor, and a problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.

  • Demonstrate high intellectual curiosity and a focus on deriving actionable business insights.

  • Effectively visualize complex data.

  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Be technically adept.

  • Partner with internal groups to support and understand their business needs.

Establish Trust and Collaborative Working Relationships

  • Provide high‑level daily customer service as the team's primary liaison to a large, multinational group of customers within Expedia's lodging organization.

  • Partner with internal data teams to identify and resolve data integrity issues.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field required. MBA from a top‑tier program preferred.

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in Business Intelligence roles.

  • Strong technical knowledge of SQL and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for the business is required.

  • Knowledge of other programming languages (Python or R) and data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI) is preferred.

  • Modeling skills such as UML and additional qualifications such as program management certifications would be a plus.

  • Proven experience leading or supervising a team responsible for investigating and resolving case‑based issues.

  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, define quality standards, and coach team members to consistently deliver timely case resolutions.

  • Knowledge and passion for travel and e‑commerce.

  • Excellent oral and written skills to communicate complex issues and influence others internally and externally.
