We are seeking a Technical Lead DBA who brings strong hands-on database expertise together with proven technical leadership capabilities.
You will have an opportunity to participate in developing state-of-the-art security technologies, including AI-assisted engineering, and benefit from high-level involvement in major projects that will significantly contribute to making our world safer and more secure.
As a Cognyter, you will:
- Provide technical leadership for the design, operation, and evolution of enterprise database platforms.
- Lead complex database initiatives from architecture and planning through deployment and production support.
- Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence across the team.
- Define best practices, standards, automation strategies, and operational processes.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, R&D, DevOps, and customer-facing teams.
- Lead investigations of critical performance, scalability, availability, and data integrity challenges.
- Drive technology evaluations, migrations, modernization efforts, and POCs.
Your toolbox
- 5-7 years of DBA experience in enterprise-scale environments.
- Proven experience leading projects, mentoring engineers, or acting as a Technical Lead / Team Lead.
- Deep expertise in database administration, performance tuning, high availability, backup & recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Strong Linux background and automation mindset.
- Experience with scripting and development tools (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Strong experience with SQL Server
- Hands-on experience with several of the following technologies: PostgreSQL, Greenplum, CockroachDB, ClickHouse, Sybase ASE / IQ, Elasticsearch / OpenSearch
- Experience with Kubernetes, DevOps processes, and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins is an advantage.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and large-scale production environments.
