The Technical Lead will play a crucial role in overseeing axle-related activities, collaborating with international teams, and driving projects from inception to implementation. He will be responsible for developing comprehensive test programs, executing validation activities, and ensuring the reliability and performance of axle components.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of test engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Strong hands-on experience in axle design and development.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test programs for axle aggregates, subsystems, and components.
- Plan and execute validation activities for critical axle components, including gears, bearings, and housing casings.
- Ensure correlation between RLDA, CAE, bench tests, and real-world user profiles for accurate testing and analysis.
- Conduct bench tests to evaluate the performance, durability, and reliability of axles.
- Perform failure investigations, damage analysis, and root cause analysis on axle components.
- Apply measurement technology and statistical tools to estimate reliability and optimize testing processes.
- Collaborate with international engineering teams, ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing.
- Steer cross-functional teams and projects, adhering to timelines and managing risks effectively.
- BE - Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Mechatronics or equivalent engineering degree.
- 8-12 years of experience in axle development, testing, or design, with a proven track record.
- Functional awareness and design competency of axle components and their functions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to steer projects and provide mitigation plans.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical aspects simply.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented approach.
- Experience in interacting with global counterparts and a willingness to travel internationally.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for axle components and an understanding of test methods.
- Experience in collaborating with test bench suppliers and agencies for test setup and concept development.
Skills Required
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Mechatronics or equivalent
