The purpose of this role is to support the Claims team by providing up-to-date technical guidance and injury management support on the Insurance for NSW scheme. The Insurance for NSW Scheme provides a range of insurance cover and services for participating Government ‎agencies such as NSW Police, Fire & Rescue NSW and Department of Health.

This will be full time, permanent position based in the Tweed Office, with flexibility to work from home.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing technical support to claims teams about the claims management process in line with the applicable legislation
  • Reviewing and providing feedback about current claims management practices and procedures ensuring emerging trends are identified and managed
  • Provide specialist Injury Management coaching and one on one support to team members regarding claims management strategy and treatment approvals
  • In conjunction with the Team Leader identify, develop and implement effective strategies to support the achievement of key performance and remuneration measures
  • Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong experience within workers compensation
  • Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities.
  • Passionate about coaching and supporting others
  • Strong understanding of the Workers Compensation legislation, and the associated regulations and guidelines
