The Technical Executive shall support the Facilities Management team in the day-to-day technical operations and maintenance of the Authority’s properties. The role involves coordinating maintenance works, monitoring building systems, supervising contractors, conducting inspections, and ensuring facilities are maintained in a safe, operational, and serviceable condition in accordance with contract requirements, statutory regulations, and industry standards.

About The Job:

Facilities Operations Support

  • Assist the Building Manager in managing the daily operations and maintenance of building facilities and infrastructure.
  • Monitor the condition and performance of building services including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Support the implementation of preventive maintenance programmes for all building systems.

Inspection and Maintenance

  • Conduct routine inspections of building facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure they are maintained in proper working condition.
  • Identify defects, faults, or deterioration of building elements and initiate rectification works.
  • Monitor and track maintenance works carried out by contractors to ensure compliance with contract specifications.

Fault and Breakdown Management

  • Receive and record fault reports, service requests, and complaints from building users.
  • Investigate reported faults and coordinate with contractors for timely rectification.
  • Ensure faults and breakdowns are resolved within the stipulated response time.

Contractor Coordination

  • Liaise with maintenance contractors and service providers to arrange maintenance and repair works.
  • Supervise contractor works to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Verify completion of works and report progress to the Building Manager.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, and system performance.
  • Assist in preparing monthly management reports, fault reports, and maintenance records.
  • Update asset registers, equipment records, and technical documentation where necessary.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure maintenance works comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and relevant statutory requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating inspections, testing, and licensing with relevant authorities where required.

About you:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised polytechnic with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience,
    or NITEC or equivalent certificate in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised polytechnic with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience,
    or NITEC or equivalent certificate in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Diploma in Building / Facilities Management from a recognised polytechnic with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience,
    or NITEC or equivalent certificate in Building / Estate Management with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Candidates with a minimum of 10 years of relevant facilities management or building maintenance experience may also be considered.
  • Relevant experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or building services engineering.
  • Knowledge of building systems including ACMV, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Ability to coordinate maintenance works and supervise contractors.
  • Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
