Technical Executive / Senior Technical Executive[What you will be working on]
- Conduct skills training and assessments and provide technical support for practical sessions in Chemical Pilot Plant (CPP).
- Maintain and up-keep CPP and associated facilities including safety compliance, license control, inventory, equipment maintenance and housekeeping matter. This includes proper storage, handling and disposal of chemicals and materials in accordance with the relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform procurement of chemicals, consumables, materials and equipment, asset tagging, checking and budget monitoring.
- Conduct industry and consultancy projects and support skills-based training of students in projects.
- Liaise and coordinate with external parties, vendors, and licensed contractors on all matters relating to CPP operations.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of chemical inventories, safety data sheets (SDS), waste disposal manifests, and contractor service reports.
- Support school and institution events e.g. Open House and other outreach / student activities.
[What we are looking for]
- Qualification in chemical engineering, life sciences or related fields.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in plant operations, process control such as distributed control systems (DCS), water treatment and workplace safety & health matters will be preferred.
- Resourceful and able to work independently to execute the tasks and achieve deliverables on time.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills Required
- Qualification in chemical engineering, life sciences or related field
- At least 3 years relevant experience in plant operations, process control (including DCS), water treatment, workplace safety & health
- Experience maintaining plant operations including safety compliance, license control, inventory, equipment maintenance and housekeeping
- Ability to work independently and deliver tasks on time
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
