Technical Consultant, Azure Networking

Roles and Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Azure cloud services, providing technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients.
• Design, implement, and optimize Azure cloud solutions to meet the business needs of our clients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement infrastructure changes, upgrades, and migrations.
• Assist in the design and implementation of security measures and compliance controls for Azure cloud environments and network infrastructure.
• Document infrastructure configurations, network topologies, and support procedures for reference and knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing, networking, and cybersecurity.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization for Azure cloud services and network infrastructure.
• Provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements based on industry best practices and client requirements.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Azure cloud and network environments.
• Design and deploy Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) with subnets and VNet peering for seamless connectivity across resources.
• Configure hybrid connectivity solutions such as VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, and private endpoints.
• Implement Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and Traffic Manager for scalable and highly available architectures.
• Secure network communication using NSGs (Network Security Groups), WAF, and Azure Firewall.
• Automate network deployments with reusable scripts using Terraform, Bicep, and other IaC tools.
• Troubleshoot networking issues using diagnostic tools and logs from Azure Network Watcher, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in troubleshooting
• 4+ years' experience in Azure cloud.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Networking Engineer, or equivalent are preferred.
