Technical Business Analyst – United States | Remote / Work at Home

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst with strong Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) experience to help translate complex business needs into scalable, compliant, and customer-focused technology solutions. In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, QA teams, and vendors to define requirements, support solution design, and drive delivery across banking, payments, lending, insurance, and digital platforms. This is a remote, work-at-home opportunity in the United States for a candidate who thrives in fast-moving, Agile environments and brings a strong blend of domain knowledge, technical fluency, and analytical rigor.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements for BFSI applications, platforms, and integrations.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications, user stories, workflows, and process documentation.
  • Collaborate with architects and development teams to define API integrations, system interfaces, data mappings, and end-to-end process flows.
  • Analyze business rules, regulatory obligations, compliance expectations, and security requirements relevant to BFSI environments.
  • Support analysis across core banking, payment systems, lending platforms, digital channels, risk and compliance workflows, or insurance applications.
  • Perform data analysis using SQL, Excel, and BI tools to validate requirements, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Work closely with QA teams to define acceptance criteria, review test scenarios, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Act as a key liaison between business teams, product owners, technology teams, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Track requirement status, support project milestones, surface risks and dependencies, and help ensure timely delivery.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and sequence diagrams.
  • Stay current on evolving FinTech trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes shaping the BFSI landscape.
  • Apply a continuous improvement mindset informed by software engineering principles, measurement, and delivery best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including 3+ years within the BFSI domain.
  • Strong understanding of banking and/or insurance processes, including core banking, payments, digital channels, risk, and compliance.
  • Experience working with API-based integrations, microservices, and modern application architectures.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis to support requirement validation and business insights.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Rally.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills with experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and sequence diagrams.
  • Understanding of software engineering practices and delivery models such as Lean, Agile, DevOps, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage shifting priorities in dynamic environments.
  • Ownership mindset with a strong focus on product, engineering, and client outcomes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, AML, KYC, GDPR, and SOX.
  • Exposure to API Management, event-driven architecture, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience supporting data migration, transformation, or modernization programs in BFSI environments is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, Scrum Master, or Agile BA are a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $92,250 - $135,000 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.

Skills Required
