Job Summary
Role:- Senior QA Automation Tester (Playwright)

The pay range for this role is $120,000- $125,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay. We are looking for a Automation Test Lead to drive the design and implementation of scalable automated testing frameworks using Playwright. This role will drive quality engineering practices across the SDLC, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and performant applications. The role also includes leveraging AI/ML-driven testing approaches to improve test efficiency, coverage, and defect detection.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright
• Build robust, scalable, and reusable test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
• Perform test planning, test case design, and defect tracking
• Ensure test coverage for:
  • Functional testing
  • Regression testing
  • Cross-browser testing
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive defect resolution
• Lead automation best practices and mentor junior QA engineers
• Improve test performance, stability, and execution time
• Contribute to shift-left testing and promote a quality-first culture

AI-Driven Testing Responsibilities

• Leverage AI/ML tools to enhance test creation, execution, and maintenance
• Utilize AI-assisted test generation and self-healing automation techniques
• Identify opportunities to apply AI for intelligent test prioritization and risk-based testing
• Integrate AI-powered testing tools (e.g., test analytics, anomaly detection, flakiness detection) into QA workflows
• Use generative AI tools to accelerate test case creation, data generation, and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in QA automation engineering
• Strong experience with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript preferred)
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Web automation testing frameworks
  • REST API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or similar)
• Solid programming skills in:
  • TypeScript / JavaScript
  • (Optional: Python / Java / C#)
• Experience with CI/CD tools:
  • Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Strong understanding of:
  • Software testing methodologies
  • Agile/Scrum development processes
  • Test lifecycle management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test reporting tools (Allure, Playwright reports)
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (k6, JMeter)
• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
• Experience testing microservices architectures

AI / Advanced Testing (Preferred)

• Experience with AI-driven testing tools (e.g., Testim, Applitools, Mabl, Functionize)
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts applied to test automation
• Experience using generative AI (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) for test development and debugging
• Knowledge of test data generation using AI techniques
