We are seeking a technically proficient software Test Engineer to test our Model-Based Development framework. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing requirements, designing comprehensive test cases, and developing a robust testing infrastructure, running tests, analyzing results and, where appropriate, analyzing the technical facts encountered. You will work extensively with XML/XSD-based models, build test projects, and use modern development environments to ensure high software quality and framework reliability.
Job Responsibilities
Requirement Analysis: Review upper-level requirements and specifications to design thorough, traceability-compliant test strategies
Test Case Development: Prepare, author, and execute detailed test cases and test procedures for model-based components.
Framework & Project Development: Design and develop comprehensive test projects and frameworks, applying strong coding skills to automate and streamline validation activities.
Model & Data Processing: Work closely with XML / XSD schemas to parse, validate, and manipulate model-driven data structures.
Unit Testing & Execution: Implement and run unit tests using the Cunit framework (mandatory) to verify individual software modules and functional behaviours.
Environment Configuration: Use tools such as VS Code and automation/build tool Apache ANT to configure, manage, and scale development and testing environments.
Technical Documentation: Produce clear, detailed documentation of test activities and results, including full traceability to requirements.
Mandatory Skills
Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science or related engineering discipline between 8+12 Years of industry experience
Methodologies: Proven experience in Component-Based Modelling and Model Driven Architecture principles.
Good understanding of tasking: Solid knowledge of multitasking and concurrency in embedded systems, with the ability to design effective test cases, identify timing-related issues and validate correct task behavior under various conditions
Programming & Scripting: Strong hands-on coding skills in the C Language along with Linux
Data Standards: Solid understanding and working experience with XML / XSD data structures.
Testing Frameworks: Experience in writing and executing test suites
Build & Version Control: Familiarity with build automation tools such as ANT
Development Environments: Proficiency in using VS Code
Documentation: Proficiency in MarkDown and Asciidoc formats, along with experience in doc-as-code methodologies
Desired Skills
Exposure to regulated software development lifecycles (e.g., DO-178C, ISO 26262).
Exposure to test framework development
