We are seeking a Supervisor in the Commercial Tax Services (CTS) Department. As a CTS Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Prepares and reviews tax returns, extensions, and projections for various clients (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual)
- Knowledge of Federal and State tax law
- Perform tax research to resolve issues
- Maintain frequent contact with client and handle day-to-day client relationship issues
- Effectively communicates engagement needs to the client and handles day-to-day client needs, proactively ensuring the Manager, Director or Partner is apprised of any issues
- Trains, develops and mentors junior staff
- Takes an active approach to building network (internal and external) and participates in Firm business development opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s in taxation preferred
- 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a mid-size public accounting firm
- CPA preferred
- Possess advanced knowledge of federal and state tax laws – corporate, individual, and partnership taxation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate strong client services skills
- Be highly motivated and able to work individually and in team settings
- Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills
- Knowledge of CCH Axcess, Sureprep, XCM and Caseware is a plus
