Imagine working in a team that forms the heartbeat of a company. The corporate areas—Finance, Controlling, Office Management, IT Infrastructure, Facility Management, and People & Culture—are not merely support functions, but active shapers of the business. Here, you ensure that everything comes together and every department can achieve its best results. In Finance & Controlling, you analyze the numbers that make key business decisions possible in the first place—and that is exactly where your role comes in: As Tax Manager, you ensure that NEURA remains tax-compliant, secure, and forward-looking on its international growth trajectory.
Your Mission & Challenges As Tax Manager, you take responsibility for the tax affairs of a fast-growing robotics company expanding internationally—ranging from ongoing compliance to the tax advisory support of new foreign subsidiaries. You serve as the central point of contact for all tax-related matters and ensure that growth does not come at the expense of tax security.
Tax Compliance: You manage the timely and accurate preparation or coordination of tax returns (corporate income tax, trade tax, VAT) in cooperation with external tax advisors and tax authorities.
International Tax Law: You provide tax guidance for NEURA’s international expansion—including into the US—review transfer pricing matters, and ensure cross-border structures are set up cleanly.
Peer-Level Advisory: You advise executive management, the Finance team, and business departments on the tax implications of new business models, contracts, and corporate structures.
Tax Compliance Management System: You build and continuously develop a Tax Compliance Management System (Tax CMS) that scales seamlessly with the company's growth.
Tax Audits & Authority Relations: You lead tax audits and serve as the main liaison for tax authorities and external auditors.
Monitoring Legislative Changes: You track relevant updates in national and international tax law and derive actionable recommendations for the company.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: You work closely with Finance, Controlling, Legal, and People & Culture to integrate tax considerations early into processes, contracts, and international projects rather than retrofitting them later.
What We Look Forward To
Qualifications: A degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a comparable qualification with a focus on taxation; a professional tax advisor qualification (Steuerberater) is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Experience: Several years of professional experience in tax, ideally within a tax advisory firm, audit firm, or the tax department of a fast-growing, internationally active company.
Expertise: Sound knowledge of German corporate tax law along with a fundamental understanding of international tax issues (transfer pricing, double taxation treaties); experience with US tax matters is an advantage given our expansion into the US.
Working Style: An independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach—you maintain a clear overview even with complex, cross-border topics and make well-founded decisions.
Communication Skills: You can convey complex tax matters clearly—from functional teams to executive leadership—creating clarity rather than additional complexity.
Languages: Very good German and good English skills, especially for collaborating with our international teams and entities.
