Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Manager - Europe & MENAT to join our Global Tax team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the European & MENAT Region is fully compliant with its tax and reporting obligations, while actively driving initiatives to improve the tax efficiency of Iron Mountain throughout the region. You will join a collaborative and highly strategic Global Tax team, partnering closely with Regional Finance Control, country finance teams, and external global compliance partners to streamline regional tax operations.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Tax Compliance Management: Monitor and manage the regional tax return submission process, oversee tax payable reconciliations, calculate estimated tax payments, and support country Finance Managers during official tax authority audits.
Tax Reporting & Control: Support quarterly and annual tax provision reporting, forecasting, and true-up accounting entries under both United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and Local GAAP, while maintaining a robust control environment for Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance.
Tax Planning & Funding Strategy: Monitor existing and proposed tax legislation to define, analyze, and implement optimal tax planning strategies, regional funding decisions, and new legal entity ownership structures.
Mergers, Acquisitions, & Reorganizations: Assist in evaluating and determining the international tax consequences related to cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations.
Business Partnering & Advisory: Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate leaders, legal teams, external tax advisors, and global compliance partners to resolve local tax, Transfer Pricing (TP), and Withholding Tax (WHT) issues.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
Several years of post-qualified corporate tax experience with a strong technical background and commercial tax exposure.
Strong knowledge of European and MENAT tax jurisdictions, along with deep familiarity with US GAAP or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Proven ability in regional tax compliance, financial statement preparation under local GAAP, and managing complex tax audits.
University degree is required; a professional certification as a Qualified Accountant (Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant) or a Qualified Tax Advisor is highly desirable.
Technical & Soft Skills: High proficiency in advanced Excel and analytical systems; familiarity with Oracle Cloud, OneStream, and GL Wand is a plus. Excellent communication skills with an ability to deliver results under tight timeframes within a global team environment.
