We are seeking a Tax Analyst to join our Tax team and support our growing global tax function. As a key member of the team, you will help support indirect tax compliance, registrations, audits, and special projects across the U.S. and international jurisdictions.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical foundation who enjoys working with data, solving complex problems, and learning new concepts. We are looking for a smart, detail-oriented professional who can develop expertise in indirect tax while helping build scalable processes and controls as WHOOP continues to grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the global indirect tax compliance process, including U.S. sales and use tax, VAT, GST, and other international indirect taxes
Analyze large datasets to support tax filings, reconciliations, audits, and special projects
Prepare and review data used in tax returns and ensure information is complete and accurate
Assist with tax registrations and ongoing compliance requirements in domestic and international jurisdictions
Support indirect tax audits, notices, refund claims, and tax authority inquiries
Partner with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and external service providers to gather information and resolve issues
Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and automate recurring tasks
Assist with maintaining tax systems, reporting tools, and data workflows
Take ownership of assigned projects and independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years of experience in public accounting, tax, audit, consulting, or a related analytical role
Big 4 experience strongly preferred
CPA license or progress towards CPA license preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
Advanced Excel skills with experience working with large datasets
Experience with Alteryx, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data analytics tools is a plus
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Curiosity and willingness to learn new tax concepts and business processes
Experience with NetSuite, Stripe, Avalara, or other ERP and tax systems is a plus
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000 - $90,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.
In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.
These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate’s specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
