What we’re looking for: 

Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager in Singapore, this position is a key role within Silicon Labs’ Tax department. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for direct and indirect tax issues for entities in the EMEA region

• Coordinate, prepare and review direct and indirect tax returns for EMEA operations through regional tax consultants

• Review of EMEA statutory financial statements

• Reviewing and analyzing intercompany transactions and materials to support the Global Transfer Pricing Senior Manager in preparing transfer pricing documentation for EMEA entities

• Prepare and/or review EMEA local minimum tax calculations and compliance (OECD Pillar 2 Global minimum tax)

• FIN 48 analyses/documentation of European tax matters

• Provide support to Austin headquarters in various regional tax matters

• Assist with preparation of government incentive reporting in various locations

• Provide support on tax controversy matters (queries, audits) should they arise  

• Assist with preparation of the Singapore GST, withholding tax and income tax returns, and coordinate timely payments to IRAS

• Assist with creation and dissolution of foreign operations

• Other tax related duties, as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor degree

• 0 to 2 years of tax-related working experience (public accounting experience preferred)

• Willingness to learn, and have an interest in doing tax work

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel

• Knowledge of SAP accounting system is preferred

• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Fluency in English is required

• Member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants or equivalent professional body or progress towards membership certification(s) is preferred
