There has never been a better time to be in People & Communities at Cisco. We are implementing innovative change and supporting a business going through an incredible amount of transformation. This Product Designer role is no exception!

At Cisco’s Leadership & Team Acceleration (LTA) team, we are redefining what it means to grow as a leader. We are evolving our talent engine to move beyond just traditional programs and focus on crafting a seamless, intuitive, and AI-enabled leader experience across the enterprise. Our team sits at the intersection of design, product strategy, and development expertise, working to build a connected ecosystem that supports our leaders exactly when they need it most. We don’t just deliver training; we design the tools, insights, and critical-moment experiences that empower every Cisco leader to drive our business strategy and create high-performing teams during this time of transformation.

Your Impact
  • Design the Leader Journey: Identify and map key inflection points where leaders need support. Translate these moments into clear product requirements and development roadmaps.
  • Architect AI-Augmented Enablement: Act as a primary driver for integrating AI tools (e.g., BetterUp AI, MyAgent) into the leader experience. Use insights to personalize development journeys and simplify access to resources.
  • Bridge Strategy & Execution: Act as a translator between Cisco’s leadership expectations, guiding principles and the actual digital experience. Use "shift-left" strategies to define problems and scope solutions before development begins.
  • Design Personalized Development Flows: Analyze qualitative and quantitative data-including leader feedback, behavioral patterns, and stakeholder insights—to map the leadership journey. Use these insights to identify critical inflection points and translate complex needs into clear, actionable, and personalized learning pathways.
  • Prototyping: Create low-fidelity prototypes and user flows that simplify complex organizational information into actionable learning paths (figma, miro).
  • Advocate for User-Centered Development: Partner with the broader People & Communities (P&C) organization to ensure our learning platforms are intuitive, accessible, and scalable.
  • Measure & Iterate: Establish metrics to evaluate the impact of enablement tools. Use data to refine product backlogs and ensure that the solutions we build drive both individual leader growth and organizational results.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of related experience, or Master's degree with 4+ years of related experience.
  • Background in Human Resources, Organizational Development, product/UX strategy, leadership development, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to operate in ambiguity and “shift-left” to create structure.
  • Demonstrable experience applying design thinking and product management principles to internal organizational challenges.
  • Strong understanding of modern, AI-integrated digital learning platforms.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design and research tools (e.g., Figma for prototyping) and project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Airtable, ServiceNow)
  • Proven track record to drive decisions across cross-functional teams (Executives, P&C, IT, Enterprise Learning & Growth), clearly articulate design rationale, and strategically delegate.
  • Expertise in scoping, sequencing, road mapping, and metrics-tied outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and strategic planning skills, while being self-motivated with a focus on execution.
  • Experience translating complex insights into prioritized work.
  • A user-centered approach with a steadfast appetite for continuous learning and professional development.
