Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for leading and executing talent acquisition strategies that support PURIS’s growth across field and corporate operations. This role serves as a strategic partner to hiring managers and business leaders, driving full‑cycle recruitment, building talent pipelines, and ensuring an efficient, consistent, and high‑quality candidate experience.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist provides guidance and oversight to recruiting activities, supports workforce planning initiatives, and ensures recruiting processes, tools, and metrics are aligned with company objectives. This role requires strong consultative skills, operational discipline, and the ability to balance strategy with hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced environment.
Essential Job Accountabilities
- Partner closely with the Lead of Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to manage the full-cycle recruiting process for field and corporate roles, with a primary focus on construction and operations hiring.
- Develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies to attract skilled trades, labor, and operations talent.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill field roles.
- Manage up to 30 requisitions and candidate workflows in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HRIS (ADP experience preferred).
- Source candidates using job boards, community outreach, local networks, referrals, and workforce partnerships (e.g., trade schools, workforce agencies).
- Support high-volume hiring initiatives, including job fairs, open hiring events, and field-based recruiting efforts.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure alignment on job requirements, market conditions, and hiring timelines.
- Develop and post engaging job advertisements across career sites, job boards, and social media platforms.
- Track, maintain, and communicate recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, applicant flow, hiring funnel performance).
- Assist with recruiting budget tracking to ensure cost-effective hiring practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience in recruiting, staffing, or workforce management will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience recruiting for construction, manufacturing, skilled trades, or high-volume hourly roles strongly preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to effectively communicate with candidates and employees.
- Experience with ADP or similar HRIS/ATS systems highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of recruiting practices for blue-collar and field-based roles, including local sourcing strategies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage candidates and partner with hiring managers at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize requisitions and manage multiple openings simultaneously.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
- Ability to advise hiring managers on labor market conditions, pay competitiveness, and recruiting best practices.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
