6-month FTC Talent Acquisition Recruiter based in Sydney responsible for end-to-end recruiting for sales and IT technical roles across Australia and APAC. Source active and passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other tools, manage ATS/VMS processes, coordinate interviews and onboarding, advise hiring managers, build passive pipelines, and maintain candidate relationships.

  • This opportunity is positioned in WWT as a base line recruiter level, best placed for someone with good recruitment fundamentals and an established proven track record of delivery, gained either within a 360-recruitment agency environment or, ideally, in-house within a technology or systems integration organisation.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and sourcing both active and passive talent.
  • Good industry experience in sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates in the Australian market is required.
  • Experience in the core principles, practices, and procedures related to recruiting and staffing.
  • Experience in engaging with hiring managers and driving recruiting initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational, follow-up, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with internal ATS and VMS applications preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Desirable is any experience using AI for sourcing of candidates and presenting written notes of any pre-screens.

About the Role

WWT is seeking to find a Talent Acquisition Recruiter, on a 6 months FTC basis, based out of Sydney, to help take ownership of the hiring opportunities in region. You will bring the recruitment process to life with proactive communication, forward thinking and the desire to really learn and understand the business areas you support. You are seen as a "go-to" for the hiring leaders on all things talent acquisition and truly facilitate a clearly defined process.

You will utilise a range of internal and external tools and resources to identify and attract top talent, applying a creative and solutions-focused approach to each search.

In this role, you will collaborate with hiring leaders across World Wide Technology to source, assess, and advise on high-quality candidates. The primary focus will be recruiting for sales and IT Technical Engineering or Operational roles across Australia, but also providing further support to the rest of APAC where required.  

Key Responsibilities
  • Helps drive the company's overall recruiting efforts, which include on-site recruiting, internet recruiting, working with temporary agencies, and employee referrals.
  • Advisory role to managers and supervisors regarding recruitment processes and initiatives.
  • Takes ownership of a specific business area and is responsible for all recruiting activity.
  • Recruiting for WWT's core business areas: sales, management, engineering, data center, project management, operations, supply chain, and other positions throughout the company.
  • Posts jobs online, screens, organises, and tracks all applications and resumes within the company's applicant tracking tool.
  • Coordinates and conducts interviews with hiring managers.
  • Understands the company's policies and benefits.
  • Reviews and pre-qualifies potential candidates.
  • Coordinates and conducts new hire onboarding.
  • Posts jobs on various external job boards, social media, user groups, universities, etc.
  • Proactively researches and evaluates new sourcing ideas and methods to create innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Develops passive candidate pipelines through name generation, networking, cold calling, complex internet searches and research.
  • Develops a network of business and candidate contacts.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with active and passive candidates for current or future openings.

Skills Required

  • Proven track record of delivery in recruitment (agency 360 or in-house tech/systems integration)
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and sourcing active and passive talent
  • Experience sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates in the Australian market
  • Knowledge of core recruiting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Experience engaging with hiring managers and driving recruiting initiatives
  • Excellent organizational, follow-up, and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient PC skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with internal ATS and VMS applications
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience using AI for candidate sourcing and pre-screen documentation
