Purpose of the Role
As Fido scales across Africa, the Talent Acquisition Partner is a strategic enabler of our growth.
This role goes beyond filling roles it’s about shaping the teams and leadership bench that will
power Fido’s next chapter. You’ll build a high-performing, values-aligned workforce through
data-driven hiring, proactive talent mapping, and employer brand development that reflect The
Fido Way.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning
Partner with business leaders and HRBPs to anticipate future hiring needs in alignment
with the Future Fido Manager competency model and market expansion roadmap .
Develop and execute annual hiring plans that balance immediate operational needs with
long-term succession goals.
Support the build-out of talent pipelines for critical and leadership roles to reduce
time-to-hire and ensure internal readiness for growth.
2. Embedding “The Fido Way” in Hiring
Lead structured, values-based interview design to ensure every hire reflects Fido’s
behavioural DNA .
Partner with the Head of HR to continuously update our behavioural interview bank and
onboarding frameworks so that culture is consistently reinforced from Day 1.
Champion inclusion and belonging by ensuring hiring processes are fair, transparent,
and representative of diverse perspectives across African markets.
3. Employer Brand & Candidate Experience
Collaborate on the Fido Employer Brand strategy with project owner and Marketing and
Communications developing campaigns, storytelling content, and digital presence that
position Fido as an employer of choice for top African talent.
Ensure a consistently positive and respectful candidate journey from application to
onboarding, embedding Warmth and Trust into every interaction.
Partner with L&D to integrate onboarding with early learning touchpoints, reinforcing the
connection between hiring, development, and retention.
4. Data, Systems, and Process Excellence
Leverage BambooHR and other digital tools to ensure hiring data integrity,
dashboarding, and reporting accuracy.
Track and analyze metrics such as time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, DEI ratios, and offer
acceptance to inform business decisions.
Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, or standardize recruitment processes across
countries to ensure operational maturity.
5. Market Intelligence & Talent Insights
Conduct ongoing research on compensation trends, talent movement, and skills demand
within fintech and allied industries in Africa.
Partner with L&D and HRBPs to feed insights into upskilling priorities and leadership
pipeline planning.
Build strong local networks with universities, accelerators, and professional associations
to strengthen access to top talent and future leaders.
6. Cultural & Regional Sensitivity
Adapt hiring communications and assessments to align with local workplace dynamics
across African markets.
Act as a bridge between global People practices and local realities, ensuring “The Fido
Way” feels authentic and inclusive in every context
