We are looking to engage a competent and experienced Sales Engineer, the ideal candidate shall be responsible for driving and expanding the company's footprint in Ghana. Key responsibilities:

  • Sales Engineering and Business Development
  1. Leading client conversations through emails, phone calls and in-person meetings
  2. Performing energy audits on client sites
  3. Designing of photovoltaic systems (on-grid, off-grid, hybrid)
  4. Developing sales proposals to drive the sales process
  5. Preparing and submitting tender documents (including specifications, bill of quantities, drawings, etc.) and designs as per requirements
  6. Driving the full sales process from proposal drafting to contract execution; and
  7. Working with the legal department in respect of all draft agreements and legal documents in connection with your role.

Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience dealing directly with clients in commercial and industrial space in service industry

3. Language Proficiency: English.

4. Character & Competencies:

  • Prior experience in a Sales or Client facing team
  • Tenacious problem solver that can accurately identify, solve, implement, and communicate complex challenges
  • Self-motivated, independent professional with excellent communication skills, strong technical aptitude and the ability to thrive under pressure
  • Highly organised with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands, passion for renewable energy
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiating skills in a direct or indirect capacity
  • Ability to spend time in-person with customers and travel frequently in assigned territory (50-70% travel)
  • Strong work ethic, high energy level and positive attitude
  • Prior experience selling Solar Energy or Diesel Generators a plus
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and extraordinary oral and written communication skills required. Applicant materials will be assessed according to this requirement
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously at various stages.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) – report writing and analysis
  • Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be proud of your work, take ownership, and be passionate about the quality of workmanship
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the company
  • Self-starter with enthusiasm for a fast-paced, high-performing start-up work environment
