Takeoff Specialist (read plans and do takeoffs)

Position Overview:

We are seeking for a skilled Takeoff Specialist proficient in reading construction plans and performing accurate quantity takeoffs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience using QuickBooks and BlueBeam software to assist in project estimating and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret construction drawings and plans to perform detailed quantity takeoffs.
• Prepare accurate material and labor estimates based on takeoff data.
• Utilize BlueBeam to perform digital takeoffs and manage plan revisions efficiently.
• Manage financial data and job costing using QuickBooks.
• Collaborate with project managers and estimators to support bidding and budgeting processes.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all takeoffs and related documentation.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Takeoff Specialist or similar role in construction estimating.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and drawings.
• Strong skills in QuickBooks for cost tracking and financial management.
• Experienced user of BlueBeam for digital takeoffs and plan management.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote work environment.

• Full time 9 - 5 schedule EST
